Too often music theory is presented as something difficult and off-putting, when it could be presented in a way that is organic, simple and fascinating.
Music theory is the study of how music works: its science, logic and relationships. Often “dried out” and relegated to college level courses for “serious” musicians (Don’t get me started!), Music House integrates musical understanding into every facet of musical involvement. Students become familiar with the internal workings of music without ever realizing that they are learning something “difficult.”

Example:
The students learns to build 3-note chords and explore different ways a chord may be played to create an accompaniment. He then learns “chord flips’ – how to invert and tumble a chord all the way up the piano keyboard to create arpeggios.
